Anyone want a minty 1990 Quad 4 Grand Am coupe? It’s not my style, and yet I still like it a lot. Maybe it’s the wheels.
Fo I think it’s worth 7k? Hell no. But I think it’s worth something to some one.

IIRC, the slush boxes had less power than the 5 speed quad 4. Buddy of mine bought a red 5 speed new in 91. It was pretty quick for the time, with the usual torque steer and GM kwality.

My first car was a 1989 Buick Skylark Quad-4. Basically this car in a more old folk friendly suit. I have zero desire to relive owning that car.
This may be the finest example of these cars left, but I can’t imagine it being worth $7000.

30 year old tires? Yikes.

He is implying that the price is high "as fuck"

30 year old tires with 40000 miles on them, in other words, this thing isn’t roadworthy.
I am sure someone out there would love it, for 4K.

I’d have to imagine that’s close the the original MSRP lol

“Female driven”
Strange, I always thought these were front-wheel driven.

If that was a stick shift, high output quad 4 it would be one of.my dream “weird” cars. I love the olds cutlass calais 442 with that high strung quad 4, and the rest of the cars that got it go like hell for being 30 years old. Sadly I think this is the low-po, all the reliability issues but none of the fun version of that motor.

I know my parents bought the one I had as my brother’s first car in 1996. They gave my aunt and uncle $3000 for it because it’s what they were offered for it as a trade in.

I had an ‘88 Calais
with a stick. Not a 442, though.
Still was a quick car (for its time), and the one I had was a
sleeper: burgundy 4 door, with all the chrome trim, including the luggage rack, but Quad 4, 5 speed, and
FE3 suspension
. Looked like Grandma’s car, but I surprised quite a few people with it... and mine was reliable as a sunrise, even at 150,000 miles. (Must have been a Wednesday afternoon car.)

The pictures are missing the other car. I mean $7000 there has to be two of these.
I always wonder what makes someone treat something like this as a collectible car and only drive it so few miles and only in the summer.

These are plenty fun.

Same, but 88. V6 would've been so much better.
